Our Mission

As a counsellor, I am genuinely committed to creating an atmosphere of safety and encouragement in which persons may express their thoughts and feelings, gain self-awareness, and recognize their personal goals. I am a registered psychotherapist (qualifying) informed in Cognitive Behavioural therapy (CBT), Dialectic Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and Motivational Interviewing. I utilize various therapeutic approaches, including person-centered therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, and narrative therapy, to help clients explore their values, identify their strengths, and navigate challenges. I am passionate about employing evidence-based treatments to help clients work through roadblocks and live meaningful and purposeful lives, so that they are empowered to make a difference. I utilize evidence-based strategies to help people manage their anxiety, sadness, and trauma. My approach to counselling is based on the concept that human development is an ongoing process. 

I am sincerely dedicated to maintaining the College of Registered Psychotherapists' (CRPO) ethical guidelines. I believe in maintaining confidentiality, respecting client autonomy, forming a therapeutic connection based on trust, and ensuring that my work is ethical. 

My professional identity as a counsellor is based on an understanding that everyone has the capacity for growth and resilience. This professional identity is determined by my dedication to culturally sensitive and inclusive counselling services. I strive to provide a safe, affirming, and inclusive environment for everyone, irrespective of origin or identity. My personal experiences and desire to assist others in finding their voices and navigating life's problems prompted my decision to pursue a career in counselling. I believe that my personal experiences have provided me with a distinctive viewpoint on the processes involved in therapy. I enjoy working alongside clients to create individualized treatment plans and offering support and encouragement along the way.
